How it works: Once a couple has booked their dream honeymoon, we will create a customized wedding website for the bride and groom. The website will contain any pictures they would like such as where they are staying, engagement pictures, etc. They will be able to select the colors for the website and provide any wording or a message to their friends and family. They will receive their own website URL where friends and family can go to contribute towards their honeymoon. This is a great option for couples who are looking for a unique and alternative wedding gift.

Donations: The website will provide the visitors, the agent which whom the couple booked with, their contact information such as, email address and business phone number. Agents are responsible for obtaining all payments either via check, cash, or credit card. Normal business procedures apply.

If donations are made via credit card, please call the payment in to the cruise line/tour operator directly if at all possible so we don’t lose 3.5% by charging it in house. In the event that a honeymoon is not yet booked but a registry is created, please encourage cash or check donations or wait to apply the credit card payment directly to the cruise line/tour operator when the honeymoon is booked. Agents are responsible for keeping track of all donations and registry amount.

When a honeymoon is paid in full, the agent must notify the marketing coordinator to close the website created. Receipts/Certificates: We provide receipts and certificates at no additional cost. Certificates will list the total registry amount to be applied towards the bride and groom’s honeymoon. When payment is received either via cash, check, or credit card, the agent needs to email the marketing coordinator so she can mail a receipt/certificate to the donor.

List of Gift Purchasers: I recommend the agent keep a detailed list of gift purchasers so that it can be provided to the bride and groom with the final certificate, if requested. We do this to make writing thank you cards easier for them and to know who contributed towards their honeymoon.

What is Needed From Agent: Bride & Groom first and last name, Honeymoon date, Honeymoon destination/accommodations, Colors for registry (usually their wedding colors), Any activities/excursions they wish to do, Message to family (optional), and Date that registry, bridal cards, and/or labels need to be created by. Bridal Cards for the Honeymoon Regsirty are available for a fee. They are fully customizable with colors and wording (wording can be changed to honeymoon destination, dates, etc.) The Honeymoon Registry URL will be placed at the bottom. Please note that we do charge for this service, which covers the cost of special paper and ink. These make great inserts for bridal shower invitations!

When submitting an order, include: Bride and Groom’s first and last names, when the cards are needed by (this is very important), colors, wording preference, honeymoon destination and dates, and if you are an outside sales agent, agent information to include the address you would like checks to be mailed to. A proof will be sent to the agent to send to the client for approval prior to printing. Please make sure everything is correct and approved by the bride/groom before submitting approval to print.

Labels will contain, at the bare minimum, the Honeymoon Registry website URL, Donovan Travel, and the phone number for friends and family to call to make a contribution to the Honeymoon Registry. There are 30 labels per sheet. Labels are clear, so color needs to be darker (no pastels) so text will be visible when printed.
